Though there are many fantastic ways to cook a bullhead, my favorite has always been the simplest one. Simply toss the meat in flour and a bit of corn meal until it’s well coated and then deep fry it to a golden brown.
- Is it OK to eat bass? Whether you fish freshwater or saltwater, bass can make a delicious meal. The meat holds up well to nearly any preparation. It is well complemented by most spice and seasoning mixes as well. If you've never thought to give bass a try, it's well worth it.
- "Are bullhead good eating?" Bullheads are very good to eat. But sometimes they will have a muddy flavor which can be avoided by fishing for them in clear water or soaking the meat for a day or two. Channel cat meat is white, bullhead tends toward a pink coloration. A large bullhead is very tasty.
- How do you handle raw meat in the kitchen? Ensure meat juices do not drip onto other foods. Completely defrost frozen meat before cooking to make sure it cooks evenly. Do not wash meat (especially chicken meat) before cooking. Ideally, use separate chopping boards, utensils, and serving plates for raw meat.
- Can you cook puffer fish? Cooking pufferfish is pretty easy. Some people like to leave the meat all in once piece and just fry it up (like they do in the video below), while others cut the pufferfish into two small fillets and grill or fry it up (that end up looking like two chicken fingers).
- How do you prepare fresh mushrooms? Heat olive oil in a large, wide skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and spread into one layer. Cook, without moving, until browned on one side, 3 to 5 minutes. Stir then cook another 3 to 5 minutes or until mostly golden brown on all sides.
- Can I cut meat on a wooden cutting board? According to the experts, chopping raw meat on a wooden cutting board is perfectly fine, but it is important to watch out for liquids. In the case of raw meat, there could be liquids or blood that come from the meat when cut, which if left to pool for long periods can be absorbed into the wood.
